Not to be cliche but… TGIF!

Jr. High is where it all began, and I’m glad Courtney came up with the idea of going up Croghan to the middle school. The for sale sign on the wall tells what condition it is in – the new school is being built right now. A lot of people have memories here, and it’s kind of neat they returned to where they first started dating for a picture before it is no more.

Wouldn’t have known the day we took these it was in the 60′s all day then magicly dropped to what felt like 20 degrees at 4:45 – but the sunlight left nothing but pretty warmth. Lucky us! Actually, lucky Mindi – Mike’s a keeper!

word on wednesday – #1

Something new on the blog starts today. WORD ON WEDNESDAY will be posted weekly (on wednesday…’doh!) and entries will be due by tuesday at 6:00pm ET. I have a feeling it may be only me participating and nagging the you know what out of Christi to play along (annoying her, bugging… begging.. you get it). But anyone is welcome. At the end of every “wednesday” post will be next weeks word. The goal is to take the week to photograph your interpetation of the word and share it amongst others, as to show how we all interpet and see the world differently, how one thing can mean so many different things to different people… and/or just to have fun =)

If you are good with a resizing program, the image would be best sent at 750px wide on the longest side and at 72dpi – but full size/resolution images are accepted. If you are a photographer and wish to have your image linked to your page that is fine, too. You may also add a description if you wish if your photograph is more abstract and you would like to explain WHY your chosen subject represents the word as well! Please send to dani@danielleluc.com with the subject as the word of the week so I do not miss it.

I think this will be a good mixup to the blog-o-sphere =) Or a flop, we’ll see.

Sandy + Nyle :: 07.03.10

Congratulations to Sandy and Nyle – we had SO MUCH FUN on July 3 with this couple. They laugh a lot, they goof a lot, and the smooch a lot =) There wasn’t anything other than laid back fun and laughs the entire day – it was just a blast!

The sparklers were a surprise, I didn’t know they were going to happen and really haven’t ever shot fireworks before – but this my photographer friends, is ISO 6400!

We were on the shores of Lake Erie at Camp Perry, where the sun set so beautifully over the lake right out the back windows and balconies… so peaceful. I cant wait to share more and am behind on blogging (by four sessions and a wedding) … so far behind it has gotten rediculous even for me.

Thank you Sandy and Nyle, and all of your awesome family members for the good times, laughs, the fabulous dinner and cake (and cookies!) you provided Christi and I with on YOUR wedding day. And to quote the new Mrs. Douridas…

“I feel like I have new FRIENDS!” =)
