This image of little K. reminded me of a vintage photograph of a simple time – childhood. When lifes about cookies, cuppies, life measured in footsteps and minutes versus workweeks and leaps into unknown.
This Memorial Day weekend, let us all remember back to those times – the times we were so blessed and free to have – and the times those of us who are now mothers, are free to have with our children. May we keep in our minds why we are cooking out, relaxing, and enjoying the company of others – and the many families we all know who are missing their military loved ones because they are currently serving our country, or have sadly passed away in this war or wars of the past.
There are so many men and women I know who are serving, have served, or will be serving – and lets all remember them in our thoughts – that they may have the strength to continue and the thoughts in their minds that we care and support them.
I hope everyone has a fabulous weekend and if you are celebrating, in any fashion – thank your service members for the opportunity to do so! =)
