Logan – 8 days

Little Logie-Bear (as I have named him hehe) came in at 8 days and 5ish pounds and was absolutely taking my heart captive. His mom and I have experienced a few crazy life events together over the last year and to see her have this beautiful amazing baby is just awesome! You might recognize his momma and big sis, they were in the “ad” for the mother’s day event his year. I thank my lucky stars each day for our mutual friend who brought us together and for our friendships. Jodi, I love you with all my heart and am thankful that Lisa (whom I love just as much) brought us together. So much tragedy this year, but you never know who you will find amongst it.

A little rare glimpse of ME – I haaaate having my photo taken, but my lovely beautiful friend/spotter Jenni took these and I kinda do love them! Look how small he is in my hands! Ahh! The miracle of life.

Oh, look – a wedding blog. Being I have 10 (yes, ten – 5×2…7+3…12-2…) weddings from 2011 I have yet to even have the time to blog, I sort of feel bad starting with the first of the season, but hopefully I can do a recap of 2011 at some point. Leslie + John were married June 16 here in Fremont on a day with dream weather, fresh sunlight pouring in, and happy faces. Leslie is one of those people you’d aspire to be like; she sees the light in every minute of every day – wearing it across that beautiful smile she’s so well known for by her friends and family. John is just the same – I don’t know that Christi and I went a whole five minutes without a laugh the entire day. So much fun and crazy happy.

Seriously. Ball of laughs. All. Day. Long.

Thank you to Leslie + John and their gracious families for the hospitality and the delicious meals you provided for Christi and I. Your joy is infectious and we are blessed to have been able to experience it.

On a business related note, I am currently putting a hold on new bookings other than themed studio mini’s that will be coming up. There are no more bookings for newborns available until December. I’m playing quite a bit of catch-up and I will be dedicating the holidays to my family. If you’ve inquired and we’ve spoken, have no fear – you’ll be taken care of. But temporarily, I am suspending any further bookings until all rain-outs and pending families have had their chance to get on the books and those who have been photographed the chance to get into their galleries, which they have been so anxiously awaiting.

The first of the new Studio Drop-in sessions is finally here!

Wear your costume, OR wear your halloween themed shirt/outfit/colors – “witch”ever you like!

For more info on how this works, please click the “info” tab up top or by clicking HERE Basically, every so often, a new fun theme or holiday setup will be available on select dates for a few week’s time.

The cost is $10 for the first child, $5 each addt’l and includes 1-2 FREE low resolution themed downloads, available SAME DAY (or next morning, if applicable) for you to share and enjoy on the web via email or social media or in your phones camera library.

There is no further obligation to purchase! If you wish to purchase high-resolution, borderless images – or prints, you will have the option to do so at 20% discount.

You just drop in, spend a few minutes, and be on your way!

The “Spooky” setup will run during the dates and times listed below.

MONDAY, 10/8 – 10:00 am – 1:00 pm (no school, Columbus Day)

Weddings are often rushed – the day is packed! No matter how much time is alotted for your portraits, you may or may not be near the scenery you love, or have the time to travel there – or the appropriate time to spend on just the bride/groom/both. Why not get that dress out ONE last time before having it sealed? I mean, if it gets any more dirty or stained to the point the dry cleaner get get it out, you probably don’t have plans to wear it again anyway, right? (Unless, youre saving it to pass down – I guess that changes things…).

Sam was married a few weeks ago and got her gorgeous gown out for a trip to the cliffs in Catawba – here are just a few of the many sunset images we took, most lit with a strobe to save the sunlight. She’s just so beautiful – dont you think?

I will be adding this to choices for add-ons to future (or current) weddings – keep on the look out! And while it may sound silly to others or your other half, when they ask why… just ask, “why not?”

It’s your wedding, might as well get the most out of it Even if its afterward.
