Wedding Day, Chris & Mary Anne

Well, Chris and Mary Anne are married, and I survived:)I had a blast and thanks to Jessie, my lovely assistant, I had all I needed, right when I needed it. Thank you Jessie!

The bride was stunning, the groom was happy and handsome and things went off without a hitch (no pun intended on the hitch thing).  I’m only going to share a few, as I want the Bride and Groom to be the first to view the ceremony photos (and all of the others, obviously!)

I’d been preparing for months on working with ambient flash. I’m just not satisfied with the blown out dress, dark background look of diffused dead on  flash.  In fact, I didn’t even bring along a sto-fen for the night, I just relied on bouncing it behind me (and while everyone in front of me commented either A. how nice your flash doesnt beam our faces or B. “just so you know your flash is backwards (smile).  Im happy for myself that my hard work and determination to acheive a natural look (hello, I’m the anti-flash). paid off. No blow outs, nice detail, and relfections of a happy crowd.  I really wanted these reception images to be a reflection of what was viewd through the eye of those in attendance. I hope I did them justice!

Chris and Mary Anne, I wish you all the best and enjoyed my day and night with you. It seems like yesterday we all were in our grays, whites, and blazers walking the halls of high school.  Yesterday you wore your whites and blacks and walked the aisle, and in exit, started on the newest journey in your decade together – married life.

It was great to see everyone – I was able to mingle with a few friends that I don’t see often enough and that was wonderful.  Happy mothers day to you mothers out there – I’m spending mine with sore feet, even though I wore cozy shoes!

Enjoy – feedback welcome (and kind of looking forward to it – I hope!)

Mary Anne Mayle - Danielle, I have come to look at these pictures at least 3x/day since Sunday (and yes, I know it’s only Tuesday). I just cannot keep the thought of the pictures out of my mind. All the meetings before where I saw some of your previous work could not have prepared me for the wonderful way you took advantage of the lighting, surroundings & angles! You have an amazing eye, and I feel so blessed it worked in your schedule to be there for Chris and I. I am so thankful to you & excited to see all the rest of the pictures…. I’m sure this is just a tiny tease of what is to come. Thank you from the bottom of my heart, all expectations (which were kinda high, I gotta say) were exceeded!

Tracy Bartson - Absolutely wonderful! I will definitely recommend you to others. Your eye is not only unique, but also poignant. It is both soft yet strong at the same time. Very impressive! And as if your talent is not enough, you are an absolute sweetheart…you have a quiet presence that allows people to be themselves (quite something for a photographer!) but strong enough (in a nice way) to control a crowd and get the job done in a timely manner.

Magdalena - Dani- The pictures are amazing, it sure does not look like this is one of your first weddings you have done! Looks to me like you are a PRO!
Can’t wait till our special day and I get to see what you do for us! I know for a fact it is going to be AMAZING! So excited!
